Men Matter is a men's counselling service based at Lincoln Counselling Centre in Lincoln High Street.
Men have always been reluctant to ask for help or to make use of counselling services and we hope to help change that with our Men Matter counselling service for men.
It is OK for men to find life difficult, men have emotions and fears and they have a right to express their feelings without fear of being judged.
We hope to help change attitudes and by doing so save lives, far too many men end up suiciding, the figures are just appalling, 75% of all suicides are by men, society has raised men to believe that it is not manly to admit that they are struggling with life or that they have mental health issues and we need to change this.
I am here to listen, whether it’s your career, your relationships, or anything else, please get in touch.
About Men Matter
Counselling For Men
Men Matter provides a safe and confidential men's counselling service based at Lincoln Counselling Centre.
Men often find asking for help difficult, I wanted to provide a place that men feel able to to approach, somewhere that understands the specific issues that men face.
Men find it difficult to ask for help and I know that taking that first step can be scary because I've been there.
Our society teaches men that they should always be strong, not to show emotions, we have all heard the saying, big boys don't cry or man up, please never say this to your husband, partner, brother, dad or friend, it just makes things worse, they will go silent and won't tell you anything, ask what's wrong and when they say nothing, ask again, give him time and space to talk, above all else, LISTEN.
Graham Brown
I am the founder of Lincoln Counselling Centre and have experience working with both adults and young people, I also run a special counselling service for men called Men Matter.
We often find that life's events can be difficult to understand, we experience situations that are tough to process and need help to find our way through.

Counselling For Gay Men
Who am I?
This is a question we all ask ourselves at some point in our lives, our gender and sexuality form who we are and sometimes the path to discovering ourselves is fearful and uncertain, scary even.
We are all different people so why should we have to conform to a particular way of life and fit in with what society wants, each of us is recognisable to our family and friends as someone who is unique and that is also true of our gender and sexuality.
As a gay man I will have experienced many of the feelings you are going through,
I am here to listen, please call or email for appointment availability, evening appointments are available.
